Laser-induced thermotherapy of thyroid nodules with ablation of vessels feeding the nodule

Objective. To improve the results of treatment in patients with benign nodular pathology thyroid gland (TG) by means perfecting technique minimally invasive a high-intensive laser under sonographic control.
 Materials and methods. An original laser-induces thermotherapy (LITT) nodule ablation vessels, feeding was developed introduced. The procedure used 91 gland, 116 underwent laser-induced standard (comparison group). Three months later, US to assess compare both groups. thermometry were analyzed depending on initial volume TG neoplasm.
 Results. A decrease nodules up 2 cm3 groups statistically significant took place practically similarly 78.7 % main group 71.7 comparison group. When exposing larger sizes, efficiency LITT method fell.  Conclusions. Laser-induces vessel, nodule, leads reduction colloid neoplasms any size. indicated higher compared relation sized from 6 cm.
